Transient Requests

Transients are welcome at Cornwall Yacht Club! For the 2023 seasonal the fee is $3 per linear foot per day. We offer both paper and electronic requests and payments.

General Information:

• Life jackets (PFDs) must be warn by children and non-swimmers near sea walls and on docks.

• Need help? Ask any any member.

• Rest rooms are inside clubhouse – front, at kitchen end.

• Enter clubhouse through riverside porch door (the fleet captain or member accepting your application will provide you with the door code).

• Waste and recycling cans are in front of clubhouse by road.

• Transient guests are welcome to use the gas grills, picnic tables, and facili-ties of the clubhouse and grounds during their stay at CYC

General Rules:

• Responsibility for the safety, securing in slip, and security of each boat is the owner’s.

• No open transfer of fuel is permitted in the marina.

• Operating a boat in the marina while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will not be tolerated. Violators will be prosecuted.

• Maximum speed limit inside and around the marina is 5 M.P.H. This area is a “No Wake Zone.” (NYS Wake Law applies)

• One long blast from a horn audible for one-half mile is required before enter-ing or leaving the marina. Boats must enter from the north (along the sea wall) and yield to any boat leaving the marina.

• No indiscriminate use of dinghies or inflatables in or around the marina. Dinghies shall be stored in the designated area.

• No operation of jet skis, waverunners, windsurfers, or any similar watercraft in and around the marina without permission of the Fleet Captain.

• No swimming or waterskiing within or around the marina.

• No fishing from ramps or boats within the marina. Areas away from boats and pedestrian traffic may be used for fishing.

• Parents must supervise and are directly responsible for the actions of their children. Children must not run or play tag on the docks or ramps. Children under twelve must wear a Coast Guard approved PFD.

• No open fires, such as charcoal grills, etc., will be permitted on docks or boats, except in designated areas.

• Pets must be kept on a leash and under the control of the owner at all times. Pets shall be curbed off of Club property. Clean up waste and dispose prop-erly. Pets are not permitted in the clubhouse.

• All household type garbage generated on Cornwall Yacht Club, Inc. property will be deposited in the containers located at the clubhouse parking lot en-trance. The covers on these containers shall be kept closed at all times.
